Our clients built this 800 square foot, 2-bedroom / 2-bath ADU in SE Portland with the heartfelt goal of keeping family close. Thoughtfully designed to feel like a full-sized home, it features tongue and groove covered porches at both the front and back, creating a welcoming space to relax and connect. Both bedrooms open onto the back porch through sliding doors, offering a lovely flow between indoor and outdoor living.

The kitchen is a favorite feature, adorned with beautiful Chloe blue tiles that reminded the client of an Oregon partly cloudy day. A cozy dining nook adds to the charm, and a side entry leads into a practical utility and laundry area. Thanks to the generous lot, the ADU enjoys both front and back yards—now ready to be transformed with the client’s landscaping vision into a lush, inviting retreat.
